Richard Hill – Proprietor.
Diploma in Funeral Directing
In 1986, after spending seven years in the building trade, Richard joined his mother and father in the funeral business. He then followed in his father’s footsteps by studying and passing the diploma in funeral directing in 1988. Richard was born and bred in Pershore and is passionate to service the people in his community and surrounding area in their time of need.
His hobbies include keeping fit by swimming and walking. He also enjoys travel and has a passion for skiing.
Paula Hill – Proprietor.
Diploma in Funeral Directing
In 2000, after spending ten years working for a local building society, Paula joined her husband Richard in the funeral business. Paula is a local girl, born and brought up in the village of Peopleton. She studied and passed the diploma in funeral directing in 2008.
Her hobbies include yoga, walking and holidays in the sun.
Matthew Jackson – Funeral Director
Diploma in Funeral Service.
After gaining experience with another funeral director, Matthew joined E Hill & Son in July 2012. He originally lived in Kidderminster but has now moved to Drakes Broughton to integrate into the community he serves. He is married and has a daughter. Matt has passed his diploma in funeral service with distinction.
His hobbies are Supporting Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, Worcester Warriors and watching motorsport.
Henry Oakes – Trainee Funeral Director
Diploma in Funeral Services
Henry joined E Hill & Son in June 2016 after gaining experience with an independent funeral directors in Plymouth. He has successfully gained his Diploma in Funeral Services and is currently studying for a Diploma in Funeral Directing.
His hobbies include playing and watching rugby. He also enjoys live music events.
Deborah Robinson – Funeral Administrator.
Deborah is a local girl coming to this area when she was nine. She joined E Hill & Son in February 2003. Deborah is a very calm and loyal individual and is a great asset to the team in her role as administrator.
Her hobbies include keeping fit and spending time with her grandchildren
Gary Hunt – Senior Funeral Operative
Foundation Certificate in Funeral Service.
Gary lives in Worcester and came to E Hill & Son in October 2009, after having over 20 years’ experience with George Crump Funeral Director in Droitwich. He left Crump’s when the business was sold to the Co-operative. Since joining E Hill & Son he has passed the foundation certificate in funeral service and is a very loyal and committed individual.
Hobbies: He is a committed Christian and attends Mucknell Abbey. He also likes visiting places of religious and national interest.
Wayne Gormley – Funeral Operative
Wayne lives in St. John’s, Worcester and joined the team in 2014 after leaving his former job as a security supervisor at Bosch, Worcester. He has a great sense of humour, is very keen to learn the job and help the families we serve.
His hobbies include mainly music as he was a former disc jockey.
