At E Hill & Son Funeral Directors, we have been working hard to give a quality service to our community for nearly 60 years. During this time we have earned an enviable reputation for integrity and for providing a caring, understanding service. We have continuously invested in our premises, vehicles and staff to keep our standards high and firmly believe we offer a service second to none.

Richard Hill – Diploma in Funeral Directing

In 1986, after spending seven years in the building trade, Richard joined his mother and father in the funeral business. He then followed in his father’s footsteps by studying and passing the diploma in funeral directing in 1988. Richard was born and bred in Pershore and is passionate to serve the people in his community and surrounding area in their time of need.

His hobbies include keeping fit by swimming and walking. He also enjoys travel and has a passion for skiing.

Paula Hill – Diploma in Funeral Directing

In 2000, after spending ten years working for a local building society, Paula joined her husband Richard in the funeral business. Paula is local, born and brought up in the village of Peopleton. She studied and passed the diploma in funeral directing in 2008.

Her hobbies include yoga, walking and holidays in the sun.

Jo Tolley – Funeral Services Director

Jo joined E Hill & Son in April 2018, after working as a Funeral Director for 17 years for the Dignity group in Worcester. Before she left, she managed three of their branches. Jo has come home in a way, as she was born in Pershore and still has family here. To demonstrate her commitment to her vocation, she has also moved house back to Pershore.

Hobbies: She is very fashion conscious and loves to collect shoes, she also likes to keep fit and has run in the London Marathon.

James Moore – Trainee Funeral Director

James joined E Hill & Son as a trainee Funeral Director in October 2020, after previously working with us for a couple of years as a part time bearer.

James lives in Worcester, is married to Bridgett and they have three children. James enjoys spending time with his family and walking his dogs.

Deborah Robinson – Funeral Administrator

Deborah is a local lady coming to this area when she was nine. She joined E Hill & Son in February 2003. Deborah is a very calm and loyal individual and is a great asset to the team in her role as administrator.

Her hobbies include keeping fit and spending time with her grandchildren

Gary Hunt – Senior Funeral Operative – Foundation Certificate in Funeral Service.

Gary lives in Worcester and came to E Hill & Son in October 2009, after having over 20 years’ experience with a Funeral Director in Droitwich. Since joining E Hill & Son he has passed the foundation certificate in funeral service and is a very loyal and committed individual.

Hobbies: He is a committed Christian and attends Mucknell Abbey. He also likes visiting places of religious and national interest.

Wayne Gormley – Funeral Operative

Wayne lives in St. John’s, Worcester and joined the team in 2014 after leaving his former job as a supervisor at Bosch, Worcester. He has a great sense of humour.  He is very keen to help the families we serve.

His hobbies are focussed on music as he is a former disc jockey.

Roger Rawle – Funeral Operative

Roger lives in Worcester and has just joined our team in November 2018.

He brings a wealth of experience having worked for different funeral businesses for over 30 years. He also worked in the mortuary at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

His hobbies are following football, motor racing and anything to do with history.
